Saul Steinberg seemed to have a ‘thing’ for paper bags. The world-famous cartoonist for New Yorker Magazine created a number of artworks using paper bags. Sylvia Shor, the matriarch of the Duro Bag family, along with her daughter, Shelly, and granddaughter, Alana, were in attendance as the Cincinnati Art Museum debuted their newest exhibit featuring Saul Steinberg, in a private opening for members-only on July 20. Nearly 500 people turned out to view the “Illuminations” exhibit, which contains over 100 works by Steinberg, including several well-known pieces he created using paper bags.
