Possible applications include customized logos, title screens, video walls, credit sequences, plug-in presets and customizable elements. Currently the site has close to 400 projects online and continues to grow as more of the site’s producers upload their work.

The fine folks over at Macenstein spotted this special deal: a free license for the Mac version of DivX Pro, if you send in your email address today — a $20 value. I can’t see the end-of-offer indication on the site, but I’ll take their word for it.
With the Pro version you get the free player (natch), plus DivX Converter for batch encoding and the DivX Pro codec for export from QuickTime Pro-aware applications. Based on the theory that you can never be too rich, too thin or have too many video compression applications, it’s worth checking out.

iStockphoto pioneered the concept of micropayment stock imagery and was one of the first social networks in the world to actually pay contributors for the sale of their work. It remains the world leader in micropayment and is now the global volume leader in all stock photography sales, whether user-generated or traditional. iStock has more than 1.8 million members and an image or video is downloaded from the site every 2.5 seconds.
