Feb 01, 2008 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) — Corel, a developer of graphics, productivity and digital media software, announced that the newest version of its graphics suite, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, is now fully integrated with Bitstream s WhatTheFont service and ConceptShare, two web applications that accelerate the design process by providing users with online access to font identification and client feedback.

In December, Corel and ConceptShare, a company advancing online collaboration, announced the launch of CorelDRAWConceptShare.com, a site where CorelDRAW users could share designs online and collaborate with clients and colleagues.

With the launch of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, the two companies have taken the partnership one step further, introducing the new CorelDRAW ConceptShare docker, an online collaboration tool that is fully integrated within CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4.

With the new CorelDRAW ConceptShare docker, users can share their designs with colleagues and clients in real time directly from within CorelDRAW. Available in multiple languages, the online tool enables users to create multiple workspaces, upload their designs and invite others to provide feedback or submit their own ideas online, by accessing the convenient docker within CorelDRAW X4.

When developing this suite, we worked closely with our customers to make sure we were delivering the best possible solution to address their specific needs, said Gerard Metrailler, Director of Product Management, Graphics for Corel. Increasingly, our customers are looking for ways to take advantage of Web applications that streamline their workflow and enable quick and easy collaboration. Through our expanded partnerships, we are able to provide our customers with an improved user experience while helping them to be even more productive.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 also includes WhatTheFont, the online font identification service from MyFonts.com. WhatTheFont lets users upload scanned images of fonts to its web site, where it then displays the closest match to the font sample provided.

We understand that designers are pressed for time, said Bernie Aho, Product Manager for ConceptShare. ConceptShare makes it easy to manage the feedback loop throughout the design process. We re thrilled that designers can now publish to a collaborative workspace without leaving the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 creative environment. It s a seamless fit for millions of designers around the world.

The incorporation of a link to WhatTheFont in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 makes it quick and easy for users to take full advantage of WhatTheFont s unique font identification capabilities, said John Collins, Vice President and CTO of Bitstream and head of its MyFonts division. According to Collins, WhatTheFont is one of the most highly praised features of the MyFonts website.
