First released in 2004, GroupWorld.net is a powerful web conferencing solution including advanced whiteboard, video and voip conferencing, desktop sharing and session recording/playback. Using a custom-developed virtual machine similar to java but with built-in collaboration functionality, GroupWorld.net allows the rapid development and customisation of real-time, multi-user internet applications, conference rooms and multi-player games.

The new hosted GroupWorld.net service costs $24.99 per month for 10 users and unlimited usage, and allows customers to set up multiple, separate rooms. “Most full-featured web conferencing packages such as WebEx are too expensive for small businesses to consider using. We can offer more features than WebEx for one tenth of the price and still make a profit, and we feel that this price will finally bring full-featured web conferencing to the mass market” said David Jameson, founder and CEO of Group Technologies Inc.
