Shan Canfield a.k.a Photoshop Mama or simply "Mama Shan" has been instructing all levels of digital imaging since 1999 at Nashville State Community College. She is an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop and has written several articles for SBS Digital Design and has had several tutorials and images published in three of Katrin Eismann’s books.

Mama Shan has been sharing her work and knowledge freely since 2001, with the launch of her first Web site, www.shanzcan.com.

In 2003 Shan and her youngest daughter, Nora opened a small photography studio, Moi design Studio (www.moidesignstudio.com), where they have a shooting room and computer lab. Specialties are portrait shoots, retouching, and CD design.

In 2006 Shan launched the photoshopmama.net Web site and started selling her glamor retouching actions and "Chores" videos, in January of 2007. This site also has free video tutorials and actions.
